WISPA Announces New Board Members at Close of WISPAPALOOZA

Las Vegas, NV, October 14, 2021 – WISPA closed its flagship trade and education show, WISPAPALOOZA, this afternoon, winding up four days of near-record level attendance for the event which is held each year in Las Vegas.
But the show did not end without a little closing fanfare.
As part of the final ceremonies, Claude Aiken, President and CEO of WISPA, announced the winners of three open Board seats voted on by WISPA’s membership.  The nomination and voting process began in late July and culminated last night with the tallying of votes to replace outgoing Board of Director positions held by Mark Radabaugh (Chairman on the Board), Chuck Hogg and Nathan Stooke.
Nominees for the three open seats were Sam Curtis, CEO, @Link Services; Blair Davis, Owner, West Michigan Wireless ISP; Keefe John, CEO, Ethoplex; and Jeff Kohler, Co-founder/CDO, Rise Broadband.
And the winners for the three-year, Board of Directors positions are:
  • Sam Curtis
  • Keefe John
  • Jeff Kohler
“This vote caps off an amazing week for the evolving WISP community,” said Aiken.  “We want to thank outgoing Directors Mark Radabaugh, Chuck Hogg and Nathan Stooke for all of their hard work and sacrifice.  These are voluntary positions, and their commitment to guiding the industry through some very challenging times is simply unparalleled.”
As for Sam Curtis, Keefe John and Jeff Kohler, Aiken exclaimed, “We’re really excited for their dedication to a positive future for WISPA and its community-based internet access innovators.  The industry is exploding with new business models and technology, and with them on board we know we’re going to excel even further for our members and the community we serve.  Congratulations to all three!”
