WISPA Board Elects Association's New Officers

Washington, DC, November 18, 2021 – WISPA announced that its Board of Directors has chosen a new slate of officers to guide the association through 2022.  After a vote of the Board of Directors, Todd Harpest, co-founder of MetaLINK Technologies, was elected Chairman of the Board; Brian Young, President of IPpay, as Vice Chair; Sam Curtis, President of @Link Services, as Treasurer; and Jason Guzzo, General Manager of Hudson Valley Wireless, as Secretary.
WISPA’s Board of Directors is tasked by the association’s membership with helping local innovators and ISP entrepreneurs usher in the next wave of evolving connectivity solutions through a strong, vibrant, and participatory WISP community; promoting state-of-the-art industry standards, technology and education; and advocating sound public policy which encourages investment, development and deployment of high-speed broadband to all Americans, no matter where they live.
“We are blessed that we have such depth on WISPA’s Board – people who really understand the in-and-outs of our innovative ISP industry,” said Claude Aiken, President and CEO of WISPA.  “Todd, Brian, Sam and Jason are true go-getters whom we know will successfully guide the association through the challenges and opportunities brought about by new legislation, policy and evolutionary technology,” added Aiken.  “The association is in good hands with their exceedingly capable governance.”
WISPA’s 1000 members are composed of fixed Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) and the evolving industry that supports fixed broadband connectivity, including equipment suppliers, support services, and other components needed to run a successful business. Our members, and WISPs in general, provide broadband access to millions of residential and business customers in rural, urban and Tribal areas across America.
