WISPA Congratulates Alan Davidson for His Senate Confirmation to Lead the NTIA

The following statement may be attributed to Claude Aiken, President and CEO of WISPA:
Washington, DC, January 11, 2022 – WISPA congratulates Alan Davidson on his Senate confirmation today as head of the NTIA.  Not only does he possess the intellectual, technical and administrative wherewithal to commandeer and guide this integral agency, he is a strong proponent of ensuring that all broadband technologies can apply for federal funding programs to reach the unserved.  This is more important than ever, with so much of this nation’s prosperity connected to reliable, robust and universally available internet connectivity.  We look forward to working with him as the NTIA develops and rolls out the BEAD grant program, as well as helping him identify and ultimately unleash – through sharing and other mechanisms – more spectrum for commercial use.
Congratulations, Assistant Secretary Davidson!
WISPA’s 1000 members are composed of fixed Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) and the evolving industry that supports fixed broadband connectivity, including equipment suppliers, support services, and other components needed to run a successful business.
